Dear Cathedral Family,
The Cathedral parish has a new website with the same web address: www.cathedralofmary.org. I am very grateful to Fr. Gough, assisted by Alexandra Mihaly and Isabella Marcelino, for organizing and developing all of the content for the new site. It is more organized and streamlined, which makes it easier to navigate. It is quite beautiful as well. Please take some time to peruse the website to see the changes.
New Votive Candles
In our Catholic tradition, light has special significance and one of the ways we use light is to light a votive candle in front of an image of a particular saint. The flame of the candle signifies our prayer offered in faith. We petition that particular saint to pray with us and for us to the Lord. We have added two stands of votive candles outside of the Lady Chapel. Certainly, our Blessed Mother is a powerful intercessor for us.
