Dear Cathedral Family,
This time of year, Cathedral hosts many Catholic school graduations. I often meet people in the church who are visiting because they have fond memories of graduating in the cathedral. Our own 8th graders from the Cathedral school will graduate this afternoon. It is always a bittersweet moment for them, and for us, as we say goodbye to each other. But move on they must, and the School of the Cathedral always prepares them well to succeed in high school and beyond. I am proud to share that, once again, all of our 8th graders were accepted into their top choice of high schools. We wish them well and pray for their future success.
Summer Seminarians
We are blessed to have three seminarians assigned to Cathedral this summer. They are Deacon Michael Misulia, Martin Jauquet (pronounced Jokey), and Colin Lukas. Their assignment is split between Cathedral and the Basilica, so they will be working with both communities. Deacon Mike is one of the newly-ordained deacons and will remain with us for the entire academic year. They will begin their assignment this weekend and are happy to be with us as they continue to grow in their formation.
Solemnity of the Most Holy Body & Blood of Christ Celebration
The Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ is celebrated on June 10th and 11th and includes a special day of celebration at the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen Saturday evening. Confessions will be offered beginning at 3:30 PM and are available until 4:30 PM. Mass will follow with Auxiliary Bishops Adam Parker and Bruce Lewandowski at 5:00 PM and conclude with a Eucharistic procession around the cathedral’s campus. The Mass will also include the blessing of Eucharistic Missionaries throughout the Archdiocese. Attendees are encouraged to bring their families as the celebration will continue after the procession with free food, fun, and games.

End-of-Year Picnic & Praise
All school families are invited to join the Cathedral parish on the evening of Wednesday, June 7th for an End-of-Year Picnic and Praise – to give thanks to God for the past school year and to enjoy some fellowship. We will gather at 6:00 PM for a picnic dinner on the lawn outside the cathedral (between the church and the parish center) and then join in Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in the Lady Chapel (behind the main altar of the cathedral) with praise and worship music from 7:00-8:00 PM. For the picnic, please bring your own food, drink, and chairs/blankets.
Father’s Day Novena Cards
Father's Day is quickly approaching. What better way to remember and honor our fathers, both living and deceased, than having Mass offered for them? Father’s Day Novena Mass cards are now available at the Parish Center. The envelope will be completed at pick-up time. The customary donation is $10.00 per intention and cards are available if desired. The envelopes will be placed on the altar Sunday, June 18th.
Registration for the 2023-2024 Family Faith Formation year is now open. Please register children in Grades 1-8, especially those preparing to receive First Reconciliation and First Communion or Confirmation. We are excited for a new year of Faith Formation and the opportunity for our families to grow in community with one another. Please see the website for more information on our new Family Faith Formation Program and to register. Please contact Alexandra Mihaly, Coordinator of Faith Formation, with any questions.
May God bless you.
