Dear Cathedral Family,
This weekend we celebrate one of my favorite feasts of the Church, the Solemnity of Corpus Christi. On this day, the Church commemorates the great gift of the Eucharist, the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ that was given to us for the first time at the Last Supper, and which is given to us every time Mass is celebrated throughout the world.
A special archdiocesan celebration will be held here at Cathedral Saturday evening. Confessions will be offered beginning at 3:30 PM and are available until 4:30 PM. Exposition and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will be held in the Lady Chapel from 3:30 to 4:30 PM and Mass will follow with Auxiliary Bishops Adam Parker and Bruce Lewandowski at 5:00 PM. Following Mass there will be a Eucharistic procession around the cathedral campus. The Mass will also include the blessing of Eucharistic Missionaries throughout the archdiocese. Attendees are encouraged to bring their families as the celebration will continue after the procession with free food, fun, and games.

Beginning this week, the parish center will be closed on Fridays during the summer months. The summer hours are Monday-Thursday from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. However, due to staff vacations, the parish center’s hours of operation for this week only will be Monday-Thursday from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Thank you for your understanding.
Father’s Day Novena Cards
Father's Day is quickly approaching. What better way to remember and honor our fathers, both living and deceased, than having Mass offered for them? Father’s Day Novena Mass cards are now available at the Parish Center. The envelope will be completed at pick-up time. The customary donation is $10.00 per intention and cards are available if desired. The envelopes will be placed on the altar Sunday, June 18th.
We are in need of volunteer catechists for Family Faith Formation. Serving as a Cathedral Catechist is an excellent opportunity to both participate in and contribute to the life of the parish while entering deeper into a relationship with Christ and empowering our young people to do the same. Please consider supporting the Cathedral Community and the life of the Church by serving as a catechist. There are a variety of roles in which volunteers are welcome and encouraged to participate in Family Faith Formation. Please contact Alexandra Mihaly, Coordinator of Faith Formation for more information.
May God bless you.
